The New Season of Game of Thrones is Going to Be Sick
With the ‘is Jon Snow dead or not’ thing, the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones is probably the most anticipated of them all. By season 6 of anything, most shows start to losing viewership and rarely gain an additional audience. GoT defies that logic and only gets bigger and bigger every year.
HBO has acknowledged that and stepped up their spending.
Each episode of season 6 costs $10 million to make. That’s a grand total of $100 million for the season. That’s a superhero movie budget. You don’t see that in television. For comparison, season two of the Thrones cost $6 million total.

Game of Thrones co-showrunner and writer David Benioff has reportedly been pestering HBO since 2012 for a bigger budget so they could make more impressive battle scenes like The Battle of The Blackwater and The Battle of Hardhome.
I can’t wait to see the epic shit they have in store with such a big budget. Now that the show has passed the books, no one truly knows what is coming next.
