The Most Amazing Model Airplane Ever!
It took five years, a mess load of glue and a whole lot of patience but Luca Iaconi-Stewart pulled it off.
Although these few photos in this gallery are awesome, they are only a glimpse of the work put into this model airplane. Be sure and watch the Youtube video below and visit Iaconi-Stewart’s Flickr page to see the close-up photos of everything from the overhead bins to the cockpit. Luca Iaconi-Stewart built the 777 jetliner replica on a scale of 1:60 using manila folders and glue. It’s insanely precise and almost as complicated as the real aircraft.
All the right-side cabin doors open.
Looking into the cabin, with a bit of the first class galley visible directly to the left of the open door.
Looking through at a galley unit.
The aft cargo door attached to the hinge.
In the fully-open position. Note that the door itself doesn’t actually touch the fuselage when it’s open.
The forward cargo door before it was installed onto the body.
A complete engine on the left and the skeleton of an incomplete engine at right.

The new nose section, illustrating how the fuselage opens up to reveal the interior.

The crew rest module (top), with the four first-class suites directly underneath.
The dividing wall between Business and Economy. The curtains are one of my favorite details.
