You read that right. A million dollars for A PICTURE OF A POTATO! What the hell is the world coming to? I don’t care what artist took it and who they’ve photographed in the past. That is a giant waste of money no matter how rich you are.

Irish artist Kevin Abosch sold it to a European businessman (who had been drinking) for $1,089,335. Unsurprisingly, the buyer wants to remain anonymous. He probably realized what a dumbass he is and doesn’t want anyone to find out. The photographer is known for his portraits and has shot celebs such as Yoko Ono and Johnny Depp.
That still does not justify a milli for a potato picture. I’m Irish as fuck and wouldn’t spend a dollar on an image of our nation’s holiest of foods.
