A Memorial Day Thanks
So often today in our busy, hectic, lives we tend to forget the reason for many occasions such as Independence Day, and sadly even the holiday we celebrate today, Memorial Day. The true purpose of this day is to honor the memories of the valiant soldiers who gave their lives so that we may enjoy the comforts and freedoms we so often take for granted. These untold numbers of courageous men and women who died in service of our country should always be remembered and never forgotten. Our heroic soldiers have paid for our freedom not only with their blood, and limbs, but have given their lives for each and every one of us. That is a debt we can never repay.
We should all enjoy our cookouts, trips to the beach, camping, cycling, water balloon fights, baseball games, and the day off from work. Not to do so would be a grave injustice to those who died in battle to afford us the freedom to do all of these things. Just pause for a moment during the day’s activities and spend a moment remembering those that paid the ultimate price so that we can live in a country that allows us to live freely and pursue life, liberty and above all else happiness. It’s the absolute least any of us can do.
Radass thanks every single military member past and present for the lives and freedoms they have given us.
