On Sunday, all teams around the NFL paid tribute by giving a moment of silence for those that lost their lives in the Paris attacks on Friday. At Lambeau Field in Green Bay there was one fan that thought shouting out a racial slur against Muslins during that moment of silence was the right thing to do. The fan yelled “Muslims suck” which echoed throughout the stadium.
After the game, Aaron Rodgers had a few words for him. “I must admit, I was very disappointed with whoever the fan was that made a comment that was very inappropriate during the moment of silence. It’s that kind of prejudicial ideology that puts us in the position we are today as a world.” Rodgers didn’t say what the fan said but from the look of disgust on his face, one can only imagine. We have enough hate and ignorance in this world and it’s nice to see someone put a bigot in place on a big stage. A big thanks to Aaron Rodgers for standing up for what is right.
