Girls deal with a lot of creepy stuff from guys (and vice versa) but when a 28-year-old man goes far enough to steal your number from behind the counter at the coffee shop you work at without you knowing, that’s pretty freakin creepy.

And it’s even worse when you are well aware that the girl you’re trying to woo is 10 years younger than you and STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL.

Yes, this really happened and the teenager, who works at a coffee shop, had a “mystery man” actually steal her number from her work.

Some people might consider this romantic due to its very elaborate and “mysterious” nature, but that 10 year age difference makes the mystery go from cute to creepy in less than a second.

Granted, the guy didn’t know she was barely legal at first – but when he found out and still wasn’t deterred? Red flags, everywhere.

Reading the text exchange, of which the teen’s friend posted on Imgur, is a little bit more than embarrassing, it’s excruciating.

The poor girl is actually doing a pretty great job at not letting this total wack job freak her out, but after a straightforward attempt to get him off her back, he just couldn’t take a hint.

These are quite possibly the worst clues like ever.

Her first mistake. Never rationalize the crazy. It all goes downhill from there.

“Young lady”? Not remotely flattering. He talks like a dad.

At the very least it did end on a better note than it started.
