Wonder Woman Has Already Made History Just Days Into Theaters
The latest film in Warner Bros.’ DC Extended Universe exceeded expectations at the box office, bringing in an estimated $100.5 million for its opening in North America this weekend.
That makes the superhero film starring Gal Gadot and directed by Patty Jenkins the biggest opening ever for a female director. The previous record holder, “Fifty Shades of Grey,” brought in $85.2 million in 2015.
Wonder Woman raked in approximately $100.5 million during its North American debut over the weekend. This movie surpassed “Fifty Shades of Grey” as the biggest opening in history for a movie by a female director. Probably because Wonder Woman is so damn hot.
