Give Me A (Sex) Break!
If the idea of moving to Sweden has already crossed your mind, this new information might just push you to apply for a Visa. Erik Muskos, a city counsel man from the town of Övertorneå (don’t even try and pronounce it) is advocating for one-hour paid sex breaks for all residents during workdays.
“There are studies that show sex is healthy,” he says. The science is there to back him up considering that some good old fashioned f*ckin is proven to benefit immune system health, lower blood pressure, and can lead to emotional well being. These proposed ‘sex breaks’ are also intended to improve peoples relationships and lead to a higher birthrate to help improve Swedish birth rate, which is drastically declining.
“This means that childbirth should be encouraged. When sex is also an excellent form of exercise with documented positive effects on well-being, the municipality should kill two birds with one stone and encourage employees to use their fitness hour to go home and have sex with their partner.”
