Shittiest Human Beings Alive Broke Into Paris Zoo and Killed a 4 Year Old Rhino for His Horn
This one is just heartbreaking. Earlier this week, poachers broke into the Thoiry Zoo in Paris, France and carried out a disgusting crime. The criminals shot a 4-year-old rhinoceros named Vince in the head three times before using a chainsaw to remove its horn. Zookeepers stumbled upon the carcass of the white rhino the following day.
Vince was born in September of 2012 at a zoo in the Netherlands. He arrived in Paris in March of 2015 along with 5-year-old white rhinoceros named Bruno.
A white rhino horn can be sold on the black market for up to $42,000, especially in China where the horns are believed to contain aphrodisiac qualities, which it doesn’t. Pretty sure science already has fixed that issue with Viagra. No need to go kill endangered species to get a boner.
As the population of rhinoceros around the world begin to dwindle, the demand for rhino horns has led to a huge spike in poaching. In South Africa, the number poached spiked from 13 in 2007 to 1,215 in 2014, according to the World Wildlife Fund.

Crimes against animals are so despicable and heinous. I hope these poachers get what they deserve.
