Chris Awake started in his home country of Lithuania with a jar of sesame butter, traveled across Europe picking up other trinkets along the way and swapping them with people for items from that region of the world.
Chris Awake:
“Some of these people I knew already, some of them were people my friends knew and most of them we’re people I met on the road, while hitchhiking or I just said Hi to. It started as a fun game at first, but got quite emotional since I received dog tags, in Paris. I hope this might inspire you to Travel More – and maybe Exchange Items with People You Meet – for me it was all about Connecting These People Together.”
“The trip to/until London took me 80 days. I spent the holidays with my family in L.A. and recently came back home to Vilnius, Lithuania. Expenses during those 80 days – 1150€ – quite cheap travel session due to hitchhiking, couchsurfing and nice people feeding me in general.”
