It’s important to set the mood with the right dish or drink.
On Valentine’s Day there are a lot of different ways to make it special, and a lot of ways that it can be screwed up beyond belief. When it comes to the food and drink aspect of this particular day however there’s no doubt that one wants to come up with ideas for dinner, lunch, breakfast, or just about anything that a person is going to partake of on that day. There are so many foods out there that people would call aphrodisiacs, and while some have been debunked over the years, plenty of them are still perfectly viable if the person of your affection happens to enjoy it. One thing to learn about your significant other is that the way to their heart is, sometimes, through their stomach, which means that damn near ANYTHING can be an aphrodisiac.
Let’s be honest, food is food is good. If you like the type of food that’s being served, that’s an aphrodisiac in and of itself. What is an aphrodisiac after all? It’s something that stokes sexual desire, it’s something that brings excitement. Hell, pizza and beer does that for some folks, while chocolate and alcohol does it for others. And let’s be honest, alcohol does this for a LOT of people. There’s been a serious hang-up about what is and isn’t an aphrodisiac over the years, as some would think that a well-cooked steak would count, while others might say that hell no it doesn’t. I do beg to differ since a bellyful of good food can make a lot of people extremely excited, as can a nice buzz that doesn’t leave a person spinning at the moment.
Valentine’s Day is the time when you want to be excited, when you want to feel that rush coursing through your veins, and eating a good meal and drinking certain substances, that are made for consumption of course, that will get you feel a bit randy. So, shall we get into a just a few ideas that you might be able to use?
Fruits, even vegetables, can be a nice treat that gets you revved up.
Seriously, this should be kind of self-explanatory since the shape of some fruits, the sweetness, and the use that people have for them in a culinary sense can bring to mind various ways that will get a person’s libido working overtime. There are fruits that are considered to be a little more useful in increasing the sexual tension between people, but just about anything can sexy depending on how a person eats it. Of course, watching a woman eat a banana and then watching her eat a carrot is a very different experience, right?
Vegetables might not appear to be as sexy, but there are those that are able to affect an individual and give a person an extra boost when it comes to their sex drive. Plus, if your partner is into it, vegetables can be very suggestive, and can help to set the mood. But when it comes to foods that are capable of boosting your sex drive in one way or another, presentation goes a long way since watching a woman place her lips gently on just about any type of food is enough to get a lot of guys excited.
A lot of foods really do affect the body on a deeper level.
Yes, oysters are believed to have a serious affect on one’s sex drive, but eating them is a tricky thing, since if you’ve ever watched people eating these things then you’ll know that it’s not easy to look good in the process. Women have a strange way of making anything look good when they eat it, and yet, oysters are still the type of food that a lot of people have trouble making look good. But anything that raises your dopamine levels and increases your sex drive in any way is bound to be something that people will aim to serve on a day like Valentine’s Day. I wouldn’t recommend oysters unless you’re eating on your own and take in something afterward that can cancel out the smell.
Taking in one aphrodisiac or another is bound to be part of the game plan for a lot of people, but one thing that I’ll say to anyone is this: don’t overdo it. Don’t seek to include an aphrodisiac with each course of your meal, and definitely don’t overdo it. You probably won’t OD unless you’re severely allergic to something. But at the end of the day it’s best to stick to one or two things that get you excited.
Sometimes it’s more about how a person eats the supposed aphrodisiac than what it is.
Amazingly enough, some people would argue with this, since some folks are cynical enough to think that food is food and there’s nothing sexy about it. Take a look at this picture above and try to say that with a straight face, and you’ll be among the many that don’t care about Valentine’s Day and probably wouldn’t be excited to have their woman eat a piece of fruit as erotically as possible right in front of them. The rest of us would get excited the moment our lady, or object of affection, decided to run their tongue up and down a piece of fruit, along the rim of a glass, or anything that could be even a little bit sexy. It’s all in how you do it, but the chemical process is important as well.
Alcohol has a way of loosening inhibitions.
It’s no secret that alcohol loosens us up and makes a lot of things more possible. But as an aphrodisiac, it’s not too much different from food. Whatever works for some folks probably won’t work for others. Alcohol is an aphrodisiac in the same way that food is, what’s considered to work for one person might not work for another. Some might consider a cosmopolitan an aphrodisiac, others might think it’s a whiskey straight up. The trick here is that you use what works for each individual, since I don’t care who you are and whatever universal explanation is given, what you favor is what will get you revved up. Savvy?
It’s a bit of a downer, isn’t it? Well, maybe not, but the fact is that an aphrodisiac is a very touchy thing when it comes to a lot of people since if you don’t like something, then the belief that it’s going to increase your sex drive and make you a sexual Tyrannosaurus isn’t going to work. You can believe a rock is going to tasted like a jawbreaker but that doesn’t turn raw minerals into refined sugar. This is another point in a line of articles that have been released this week, that you need to LISTEN to your SO and keep them happy, since like it or not, THAT is a huge aphrodisiac. In other words, don’t go by what everyone else says. Don’t start trying to feed someone a meal or a drink that you know they don’t like, because chances are you won’t increase their sexual feelings for you by forcing them to consume something that isn’t to their liking.
Alcohol is a good way to get someone in the mood, but one really needs to know whether the person they’re giving the drink to is all about sweet drinks, or if they want to really taste the alcohol. Paying attention to what a person likes and getting them to be a little adventurous are desirable traits in a person, and on Valentine’s Day there’s a huge benefit to making this day as great as possible. This probably wasn’t what you were thinking of when you stopped to read this article, but the point is that between food and drinks, aphrodisiacs are, more or less, whatever gets a person in the mood. Seriously, something personal and straight to the point is often better than something exotic and insanely expensive.
But, if you really need to come up with an idea that will be suggestive and get that special someone thinking that you’re trying to be cute, romantic, and possibly even sexy, avoid the fairly obvious drinks such as Sex on the Beach, Blowjob shots, and several others that are a bit too obvious when it comes to innuendo. Figure out what a person likes, what they’re into, and whether they like to taste their drink or if they like to sip it and enjoy the burn. Some folks are into the type of drinks that you have to nurse for an hour or so to get the full enjoyment from them, while others want to chug that pint and get down to the action.
On Valentine’s Day just keep reminding yourself that all the planning in the world isn’t going to do a damned thing if you can’t listen to your partner and figure out what they want. In this manner, you can find yourself fully capable of keeping your SO’s attention if you prepare what they like, what they find pleasing, and what can hit their buttons in just the right way.
WTR? (Why’s That Radass?)
If we can impart one lesson to all of our readers it’s this: listening to your partner goes a long way when it comes to Valentine’s Day. The more you listen, the better you become at anticipating what they want. An aphrodisiac can, by definition, be just about anything so long as it has some sort of meaning to the individual. You find the right thing and your Valentine’s Day might have a very happy ending indeed.
