Dumb & Dumber is definitely one of the funniest comedies of the 90s. Like any true fan, I just pretend the sequel 20 years later never happened.
Mashable has started a new series in which once a week they release a movie trailer recut in a new genre. In this case, taking a comedy and making it an Oscar-worthy drama. Presumably, they were inspired to pick this Jim Carrey movie because of Carrey’s hilarious Golden Globes speech the other night.
Now sit back and imagine Lloyd and Harry were two totally normal people who entered a dramatic journey to find love and grow as individuals. And not, you know, two complete idiots.
