High flying CEO calls it quits after daughter points out the important things in life.
The head of a $2 trillion investment fund abruptly quits his job. Mohamed El-Erian made over $100 million in 2011 but that obviously wasn’t enough to prevent him from leaving him job. His 10 year old daughter wrote him a letter pointing out 22 “special moment” times in her life that he missed. Mohamed said the wake up call came on night when he was arguing with his daughter about brush her teeth. She walked away in the middle of the argument to grab a piece of paper where she had written down the 22 items he missed. Mohamed has since taken on a smaller role and puts the most important things in life first. No more waking at 4:30am to go to work. He and his wife Jamie take turns getting her ready for the day by waking her up, making her breakfast and taking her to school.
