This Puzzling Christmas Puzzle Will Leave You Puzzled
With just four houses and four cars, this puzzle can’t be too difficult right?
WRONG.
This latest craze has the Internet freaking out.
But if you can figure it out you’re probably a genius.
The puzzle asks you to guide four people from their homes to their car through the snow, without letting their paths cross.
While it may require some trial and error to solve, once you see the answer you won’t believe that you didn’t get it straight away, ya idiots.
The puzzle description states that Aloysius, Bathsheba, Clifford and Doris (WTF kind of names are those?) live in four houses, and each have a car parked in a different position.
When they wake up on Christmas Day it has snowed.
But since they are all driving to elderly relatives for lunch, they must all walk to their own cars.
They must also all stay within the border of the picture before they reach their cars, so no cheating.
Can you figure it out?
“The car puzzle is one of a well-known genre of puzzle where you have a certain number of pairs of objects, and you need to find paths between them that don’t cross any of the paths between any two other objects,” Alex Bellos, author of the puzzle, said. “What’s great about these puzzles is that they require no mathematical knowledge to solve, they seem to be impossible – but once you see the answer you can’t believe you didn’t get it yourself.”
And here’s the answer in case you were too lazy to figure it out on your own:
