Apparently the south is filled with a lot of scrooges. Estately collected a bunch of Facebook user data to see how often people were interested in one or more of the following Christmas movies:
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Elf
Miracle on 34th Street
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Scrooged
It’s a Wonderful Life
Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Home Alone
A Christmas Story
The Santa Clause
As always, these social media studies are always interesting, but flawed. I watched almost every one of these Christmas movies, but I didn’t post about it on Facebook. My friends don’t give a shit that I’m watching Elf for the 11th time this month. Maybe I’m the sole reason California is showing up as a scrooge state.
Below is another infographic showing which of those 10 Christmas movies was Googled the most.
How do they decide people searching ‘elf’ are looking for the movie and not something else? Like the one on the shelf? Or the history of elves? Or pics of little people at the mall standing next to Santa?
