There’s a New Neighbor in Town, Only Problem is it’s an Alligator
Gary Rogers of Monck’s Corner, South Carolina was out walking his dog when he noticed a gator strolling around his neighbor’s front yard. According to news reports Rogers said, “The gator was not aggressive at all.” He said the gator looked like it was trying to climb over the backyard fence and when the gator’s attempt failed, he decided to try a different approach.
Clearly a bit curious to know how the Jones’ live, this smart gator walks over to the front porch appearing to ring the doorbell. Homeowner Jaime Bailey was at work at the time and doesn’t know if the gator actually rang the doorbell or not, but has plenty of scratches on the door showing it was there. Bailey said at first she had a hard time believing the story until she saw the video. She told ABC News, “I mean who would have thought, an alligator!”
It’s a good thing Bailey wasn’t at home when the gator stopped by. Just imagine how she would’ve reacted if she answered that door. But on the other hand who knows, maybe all would have worked out okay.
