Let Me Rephrase That: Idiot Girl Thinks She’s An Artist, Destroys National Park Landmarks
I’ve yet to see the Yosemite and Yellowstone National Parks and if another idiot person goes before I do and defaces the natural beauty of the parks I will hunt them down myself.
Take for example, Casey Nocket, a trashy attention-whoring 23-year-old who describes her scribbles on our beloved national parks as “art.” Casey traveled to seven different national parks over a 26-day period and drew the stupidest picture of all time across multiple rock formations:
What the hell is that??? Why did you have to do that here?? WHO TOLD YOU THIS WAS ART?????
Casey, who obviously has a few screws loose up there, documented her “artwork” on Instagram named Creepytings which ensued a good ol fashioned social media witch hunt.
It prompted a White House petition that demanded she be prosecuted, which received more than 10,000 signatures. YAY America!
If you’re going to do something illegal, why do you want everyone else to know about it? Would you post on Instagram that you’re selling ecstasy? Probably not. But if you’re Casey Nocket you probably would.
So aside from being one of the dumbest criminals on earth, Casey is also living in an alternate universe because at the time of one of her posts she wrote, “It’s art, not vandalism. I am an artist.”
Ignorance is bliss I guess.
“The defendant’s defacement of multiple rock formations showed a lack of respect for the law and our shared national treasures,” according to U.S. Attorney Philip Talbert. “The National Park Service has worked hard to restore the rock formations to their natural state, completing clean-up efforts in five of the seven national parks.”
She was arrested and sentenced to 200 hours of community service and will be required to pay a (hopefully very hefty) fine that will be determined this December. She is also banned from 20% of the USA (aka all the national parks).
So anyway Casey, thanks for ruining the experience of a exploring a national park for the rest of us with your graffiti and to everyone else, always remember:
