Ricky Gervais is returning to host the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 10, 2016 on NBC. He alone makes it worth watching because Gervais isn’t afraid to take shots at the celebrities in the room. Like in 2011 when he made fun of Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, pointing out their movie The Tourist was garbage, and they were only nominated so the Globes could get them to show up.
Speaking of Depp, Black Mass was snubbed across the board. That’s a bummer. It was his best movie in a long time. Carol was one of the top nominated films. Netflix led the television categories with eight total nominations, including a Best Series nomination for Orange is the New Black in the comedy category and Narcos in drama.
If you haven’t seen Narcos, you are missing out. It’s fucking awesome.
