Mashups can be a thing of beauty or annoying as fuck. They have gone somewhat overkill with dub music becoming mainstream. This is an example of the former. Tumblr user Seth Everman took Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and layered it with music from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario, and Mario Kart.
You can tell the music playing is layered over the video and was previously recorded. Seth acts as if he is turning on the system in sync with the song (he isn’t.) Doesn’t matter. It’s really cool hearing how well some of the greatest Nintendo games ever can be layered into hip-hop music.
