Police Officer Gets Schooled On The Law By Young Kid
Lieutenant Mark Cobel, an officer for the Long Beach police department in California, tried to assert his authority by telling a few kids riding bikes alone the boardwalk that it was illegal. One kid in particular knew the law and wasn’t buying the cops bullshit. Respect for this kid knowing the law. He did an awesome job quoting the penal code with only one noticeable flaw, his delivery. He needs to learn to be a bit smoother next time. Just be polite, quote the code and don’t be a smart ass. It’s surprising the cop’s ego didn’t get the best of him, turning this into a civil rights case. And for Mr. Cobel, after you get over being owned by this sharp young man, study the law a bit more. Throwing your weight around and using the authority of your badge to make your own laws is pretty embarrassing as an American citizen. If we didn’t know the rules at our place of employment, we’d find our asses unemployed real fast.
