Recently, Pope Francis was speaking at an event in Africa. Unbeknownst to him (I assume,) he held the mic and his hand in the classic rapper pose during a rap battle. If you’ve never seen a rap battle, go watch 8 mile or google ‘papoose rap battle.’ They are great.
Anyway, the above photo inspired the hashtag #PopeBars. People on Twitter began writing rapper lyrics for the pope and photoshopping him into many things hip-hop.
