About 12% of the people in the United States are lefties, yet 46% of American presidents are lefties. Why is this?
Due to left-handedness having a negative character trait prior to the 20th century, there isn’t much on record before 1929 as to how many presidents were lefties. However, since then 6 out of 14 presidents have been southpaws.
