Sometimes we can just stop and admire the technique, craft, and overall swag of some people. Whether you’re into golf as a sports discipline or not, there’s no denying – this move is the definition of coolness.
Our Team went a bit further and stumbled upon a compilation of golf fails. As opposed to the first video, ladies, and gentlemen, this is how NOT to do it.
Golf 101 – Some Fun Facts
In the words of the late Robin Williams, at times, golf indeed is nothing but “moving a little white ball with a crooked stick.“ But, there is much more to this discipline. Let’s check some interesting facts!
- Is golf a sport? Absolutely. – Golfers don’t always necessarily look like they’re doing anything difficult, but just because it looks easy, doesn’t mean it is. Many golfers train like other athletes to prepare and have great coordination and strength to execute different moves. Plus, it can make a decent workout – if one is not using a golf cart, a golfer can burn up to around 430 calories per hour!
- Golf balls were originally made of wood. – From the 14th to 17th century, golf balls were entirely made of wood. Of course, those balls needed to be replaced quite frequently because of their poor endurance. Later on, there were even golf balls made of feather! Nowadays, they are made from rubber and plastic, and there are different types of balls.
- Golf was played on the Moon! – Yes, this is a badass-fact, we must say. Alan Bartlett Shepard Jr. played it in 1971, with a 6-iron golf club.

WTR?
Golf is actually a pretty taxing sport, and some people know how to make it work for them, so just think about what it takes to get that little ball in the hole. If you can make it happen, you’ve earned your swaggering rights.
